Maastricht Train station is connected to the main European train network by regular trains to Brussels Midi (connection to e.g. Eurostar to London/Paris), Liege (Thalys to Europe), Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Aachen.

For guidance of travel times to Maastricht, Brussels is 1.5h by train, Eindhoven 1h, and Aachen 1h.

The Eurostar connection between London Waterloo and Brussels Midi (also known as Brussels Zuid, just to confuse everyone!) takes 2h15min and costs £59 return for an adult (if booked in advance and dependent on travel dates). We're organising a group booking for Friday 22nd June, returning Sunday 24th June. Click here to book this, as it has the added convenience of a private coach meeting the train in Brussels, so that it will only take 1h to Maastricht.

The closest airport is Maastricht Aachen Airport (15minutes drive from Maastricht) which has direct flights to Berlin and Amsterdam and other destinations (in Greece).

KLM offers the Amsterdam-Maastricht connection as a cheap add-on to international flights to Amsterdam (e.g. flights from London Heathrow). The Easyjet connection to Berlin is unfortunately under review.

Eindhoven Airport is only 1h away from Maastricht and is the best connection. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted and Milan Bergamo. KLM from LHR. From the airport there are buses to the central station, with a train connection to Maastricht. Please let Leonie know if you are flying to Eindhoven, as if there are simultaneous arrivals the transport to Maastricht can be co-ordinated.

There are also several airports close to Duesseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, etc in Germany, so it is worth looking around.
